The Astra boss hopes to be able to deliver promised doses to the EU
  • The heads of the major vaccine manufacturers were asked in the European Parliament in Brussels earlier tonight about how to increase vaccine production.
  • “We work 24 hours a day to scale up production and I think we can deliver the promised doses already in the next quarter,” said Astra Zeneca’s CEO Pascal Soriot, among other things.
  • It came as something of a cold shower for many EU countries when Astra Zeneca announced in January that it was reducing deliveries to the EU by 60 percent due to problems with the company’s subcontractor in Belgium.
