This is the accusation against a 43-year-old man – accusation, which he is expected to confess to on Monday in the Court in Lyngby.
In confession cases, a court application is made instead of an indictment.
It appears that the 43-year-old assaulted his wife in their shared apartment in Birkerød on the night of 8 August last year between 02.00 and 08.00. She suffered several injuries to her body as well as “severe and widespread brain lesions”.
After the assault, he left the apartment and locked the door. He took their shared keys and her cell phone with him so she could not call for help.
According to the summons, she died between 4.30pm and 10.20pm.
When the man left the apartment he went to Lyngby Station. Here, around 4.15pm, he jogged a knife in the stomach of a 24-year-old man.
He got a 19 centimeter long and 8-10 centimeter deep laceration. The stab wound was so powerful that a rib was cut across, it appears from the court application.
Police have previously said the couple has three children.
According to the indictment, one of the children – a then 11-year-old daughter – was beaten by her father for three days in December 2018. He also threatened her several times that he would kill her if she did not tell police that a man had raped her.
He did not have that.
Prosecutor Jacob Dreist will not say anything prior to Monday’s court hearing about the man’s possible motive or his possible connection to the 24-year-old man who was stabbed.
