It writes the Ministry of Finance in a press release.
– Our strong position must not become a sleeping pillow. That is why we are now establishing the digitalisation partnership, which with recommendations will challenge and strengthen the basis for the government’s future digitalisation strategy.
– The digital agenda is absolutely central in the government’s reform path, and it is absolutely crucial for Danish companies, our competitiveness and for the Danish economy in general that we maintain our position as one of the countries in the world with the longest digitalisation, writes Finance Minister Nicolai Wammen (S) in the announcement.
There will be 27 members of the partnership. They include, among others, director of Netcompany André Rogaczewski, Dansk Industri’s Lars Sandahl Sørensen and the chairmen of the National Association of Local Authorities and Danish Regions.
The partnership will be led by Jim Hagemann Snabe, chairman of the board of AP Moller – Maersk and Siemens.
– In Denmark, we have many companies that are really good at digital solutions.
– But I am also aware that a digital transformation can be a big mountain to climb – especially for small and medium-sized businesses. That is why it is important that we collaborate with the business community on a digitalisation strategy, writes Minister of Trade and Industry Simon Kollerup (S) in the announcement.
Dansk Industri welcomes the new partnership:
– I am therefore really pleased that the government is now establishing a digitalisation partnership with the business community, so that together we can find the solutions that both get us out of the crisis and strengthen into the future, writes director Lars Sandahl Sørensen.
The partnership will address a range of issues, including the public sector of the future, digital industries and jobs, and a data-driven society.
