Volcano updates and interview with the Search and Rescue Squad

Volcano updates and interview with the Search and Rescue Squad

We visited the starting point of a controversial hiking trail near the Blue Lagoon and talked to members of the Search and Rescue Squad in Iceland (Landsbjörg). Access to the volcano on the Reykjanes peninsula was closed today due to gas pollution and bad weather. In other news, COVID-19 is on the rise again. More than 20 people were diagnosed with the virus after the weekend. About one hundred were quarantined when this report was recorded, but it is now about 300.
