Thus, she can continue in the post until September 31, 2022, which is the period she has been elected for.
However, she chooses to give the post back to the Liberal Party to honor an agreement with her old party. It happens until October this year.
This is because she was deprived of the post when she was a member of the Liberal Party. Instead, it was given to the party profile Troels Lund Poulsen (V).
Britt Bager stated at the time that she would like to remain in the role and that she did not understand that it should be transferred to someone else.
Thus, the Liberal Party is without a state auditor until October, while the Conservatives have two in the form of Bager and Mette Abildgaard (K).
The Conservatives’ press service rejects in a text message that there should be a barter between the two parties.
It has been called one of the more lucrative posts in Danish politics and brings in about 300,000 kroner a year.
It is standardized as a part-time position.
There are a total of six state auditors from different parties including a chairman.
