- The Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has now responded to the criticism made by the UN that Sweden and 56 other countries have not taken their citizens home from the camps in Syria where IS supporters and their children are being held.
- According to the UN, all countries have such an obligation to their citizens.
- When the Ministry of Foreign Affairs now responds, in a letter to the High Commissioner for Human Rights at the UN headquarters in Geneva, it denies that international law entails such an obligation, outside its own country’s territory.
