- Swedish defense star Victor Nilsson Lindelöf leaves the Swedish national team collection. The Manchester United player played the two World Cup qualifiers but will not play in Wednesday’s training match against Estonia.
- “He will leave us tonight for private, personal reasons,” assistant national team captain Peter Wettergren said at Monday’s press conference.
- Other players in the squad remain. After the World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Kosovo, Sweden will match a largely new starting eleven against Estonia and it was not thought that Nilsson Lindelöf would start the match.
