- Frölunda secured seventh place in the SHL on Good Friday. At home in Scandinavium, series-winning Växjö was defeated 2-1.
- The seventh place in the table means that Frölunda is up against the table ten Djurgården in the round of 16, which is decided in the best of three matches. This in turn means that eight Färjestad will face nine Malmö.
- Frölunda’s lead goal came after a penalty kick by Theodor Niederbach at the end of the first period. In the second period, Anders Grönlund scored the 2-0 goal behind an obscured Viktor Fasth in Växjökassen. Växjö pressed hard in the third period but the series winner came no closer than Andrew Calof’s 2-1 reduction. Johan Mattsson, who won the match for Frölunda, played big in the home box.
