In the United States, they will be used for training, retraining and education. Here is the schedule in Denmark:
2021: Denmark’s first F-35 is ready to fly in the USA and will be handed over to Denmark. In May, the first Danish pilot is expected to sit in the cockpit after the transfer. However, Danes have previously flown the F-35.
2022: Pilots and staff must be retrained and trained.
2023: A new so-called F-35 Campus is completed, and the first Danish F-35s are scheduled to land in Denmark.
2024: F-16 is phased out in Denmark.
2025: F-35 can participate in international missions.
2027: F-35 is expected to be implemented in Denmark.
* International status: In total, over 625 aircraft worldwide have been delivered to 27 different bases. Over 1,300 pilots worldwide have been trained to fly the F-35.
