In the most recent election in June 2019, the Radicals ran for 16 seats.
Last year, there was an extensive sexism debate in Denmark, where the Radicals came into focus. Not least because the party’s then political leader, Morten Østergaard, turned out to have been involved in violations of women.
It ended up costing him the post, which was taken over by Sofie Carsten Nielsen.
During this period, Svend Thorhauge as the party’s organizational chairman was a part of the overthrow, also because there were internal strife in the party.
Both Ida Auken and Jens Rohde ended up leaving the parliamentary group to become social democrats and non-attached members, respectively.
