On August 26 last year, a 54-year-old man stood ready at Billund Airport to meet a woman whose two daughters, aged four months and four years, he according to police and prosecutors would sexually abuse.
The man had been in contact with the girls’ mother on the internet and agreed to pick her up at the airport.
But the woman was in fact a British police agent. So instead of meeting the mother of two little girls, the man was met by the police and arrested.
On Thursday, he is sitting on the indictment bench in the Court in Kolding.
According to the indictment, the 54-year-old tried to obtain sexual intercourse and other sexual relations with the two little girls from June 3 last year until his arrest.
He is therefore charged with attempted rape of the girls. In addition, he is charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.
This is stated by the South East Jutland Police in a press release.
According to the police, the case is special as it is based, among other things, on an action carried out by the English police. The action was aimed at online activities that deal with child abuse.
Vejle County Folkeblad has been given access to the indictment.
Here it appears that the man on the internet came in contact with the woman who he thought was the mother of the two little girls.
According to the indictment, the 54-year-old described in detail how he would have sex with the four-year-old and train the youngest for the same, writes Vejle County Folkeblad.
In anticipation of the plans coming true, he had acquired a weekend bed for the children. He had also bought a teddy bear and chocolate for them, it appears according to Vejle County Folkeblad from the indictment.
The plans came to an abrupt end on August 26, when he was arrested at Billund Airport. The next day, he was remanded in custody.
The 54-year-old’s defender, lawyer Mads Kjær Jensen, informs Ritzau that the man denies guilt in the indictment.
The court has set aside two days for the case. The verdict is expected to fall on Tuesday next week.
