Stockholm [Sweden]April 8 (ANI): Just like ‘Hey Siri’, ‘Hey Google’, the Swedish audio and media service provider Spotify, has launched its own ‘Hey Spotify’ feature to some of its users.
According to Mashable India, the unique feature ‘Hey Spotify’ has started to roll out to some of its users on Android by appearing through a pop message. If a user drops it, he will be prompted to let Spotify record audio on his gadget.
Then you will be able to conjure Spotify with phrases like “Hi Spotify, play Peaches.” However, the function can be switched on and off in the application settings, where you can also select the voice Spotify element to activate it to speak back.
Spotify started testing this element a year ago, but it was simply available to a small subset of its users and according to Mashable India, it does not seem to be available globally yet.
Spotify now has a voice search option in the US, which allows users to place voice orders. The ‘Hey Spotify’ prompt basically triggers the voice search while the Spotify application is open and when the screen is on.
Mashable India reported that Spotify is incorporated with AI assistants such as Google Assistant and Siri and can be invoked through them, so calling it directly does not add any new usability.
However, it is possible that the music streaming giant will add new features later. (ANI)
