Pape stresses that MPs should not scare critics.
– There can only be one attitude to that. Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; And, of course, employers should not be contacted, even if we disagree with someone who happens to be working there.
– I have been in dialogue with Naser about this. Naser is now on sick leave and everyone should respect that. Whatever made the cup overflow, Pape writes.
The party chairman further writes that the stress report has been underway for years.
– Naser has been under pressure for years. Of threats to life. Of not being able to move freely. Of criticism as it now appears in political Denmark. Sometimes fair, many times extreme and completely unacceptable, writes Pape.
Khader has for many years had to live with police protection around the clock as a result of threats against his person. He is known as a hard-hitting debater and marked value spokesman who shares the waters.
A number of people appeared in Berlingske on Sunday and told how for several years they have experienced that Khader has threatened to complain to their workplace and boss if they commented critically on him.
Parts of the criticism have been forthcoming in the past.
Khader’s deputy, Mads Andersen, has been summoned to carry out his duties.
Ritzau tries to get a comment from Søren Pape Poulsen. So far, Khader has declined to comment.
Members of the Folketing can report sick without giving their background. It is not known how long the sick leave will last.
