This is not a definite ban, and Danish citizens will always be able to travel into Denmark. But if you have traveled abroad anyway, the requirements for testing and quarantine apply when you return home.
Only quite a few countries have completely free entry. But countries like Mexico, Taiwan, Brazil and several African countries are very little restrictive.
Here is a sketch of the current rules at our nearest neighbors and selected popular Danish travel destinations. The rules are continuously adjusted and may vary regionally:
* Finland: Restricted open for entry for Danes who have family or important occasion for a visit. A negative PCR test issued a maximum of 72 hours before arrival or test on arrival followed by quarantine is required.
* France: Free entry on presentation of a negative PCR test issued a maximum of 72 hours before departure. Seven days of quarantine must be completed with another PCR test.
* Greece: Open for entry upon presentation of negative PCR test done a maximum of 72 hours before arrival. You must also fill in a form 24 hours before arrival. Requirements for seven days quarantine and possible requirements for testing after arrival.
* Italy: Free entry on presentation of a declaration of good faith and a negative PCR or lightning test issued a maximum of 48 hours before arrival. Until April 30, there is a requirement for a five-day quarantine, which must be completed with a PCR test.
* Norway: Virtually closed to all but Norwegians and their immediate family. Requirement for negative PCR test issued within 24 hours before departure. Mandatory test and 10 days quarantine on arrival.
* Spain: Open for entry. Temperature check and requirement for negative PCR test issued less than 72 hours before arrival. No quarantine requirements.
* Great Britain: Partly open to Danes with different rules for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. In England, a negative coronate test is required less than 72 hours before departure. Before arrival, a test must be booked on days two and ten after arrival. Demand for 10 days quarantine.
* Sweden: The entry ban from Denmark and Norway was formally lifted from 31 March. Negative testing of any type taken no later than 48 before entry is required. More lenient test requirements for commuters.
* Germany: Free entry on presentation of negative coronate test made a maximum of 48 hours before arrival. Each state has different quarantine rules.
* USA: Basically closed to Danes, unless you have a residence permit or are close relatives in the country. Entry bans also apply to travelers in transit.
