The same ceiling will be raised in the plan again from 21 May from the 20 people to 50 people.
The model also includes a relaxation of the indoor assembly ceiling and the recommendations for assemblies in private homes, which are exempt from the assembly ceiling.
For both, the draft will be raised on April 21 from five people to ten people. This too is raised in the plan again on 21 May. This time from 10 people to 25 people.
The plan was sent as a draft to the parties ahead of negotiations Thursday afternoon. Therefore, it is not certain that the draft will also become the final plan.
Thursday’s negotiations are between the government and all the parties involved in the agreement on a reopening of Denmark from 22 March.
The text of the plan notes that the assembly ban must be made a thing of the past “as soon as possible” when all vulnerable citizens and citizens over the age of 50 have received the first bite of their vaccination.
The parties have also received material from the Epidemic Commission. The Commission’s advice is that the assembly ban can be phased out as outlined in the draft.
Prior to the negotiations on Thursday, several parties and business organizations aired the desire for the assembly ceiling to be raised.
Among other things, Danish Industry has added a number. Here, it is hoped that the ceiling will be raised to 25. The Liberal Party, among others, has called this wish a good starting point.
– There is a tremendous need to be able to meet – both privately and at work, says CEO Lars Sandahl Sørensen in a written comment.
– Right now we can only hold external meetings quite a few people, and at home the call is the same. It no longer makes sense, and we should raise the assembly ceiling to 25 now for the benefit of both companies and the Danes in general.
The director of the Danish Chamber of Commerce, Brian Mikkelsen, is also calling for a relaxation of the assembly ban.
– It is obvious that the assembly ceiling must be raised. And it is good news that the government and a majority in the Folketing prior to the negotiations are set on just this, he says in a written comment.
– It is also important that the negotiations culminate in a concrete plan in phases that clearly shows when the assembly ceiling will be completely lifted. There are many who need this knowledge to be able to plan their operation after this.
