According to the online media Version2, both Danish ministers, top officials, party leaders, intelligence people, business leaders and IT managers are among the more than 640,000 Danish Facebook users whose data has been leaked.
It writes the online media on Thursday.
A leak of information from 533 million Facebook users became known in early April.
According to Version2, this includes telephone numbers, names, Facebook IDs, locations and in some cases e-mail addresses.
IT security expert Peter Kruse estimated at the beginning of April that it included over 600,000 users from Denmark.
He assessed that it is not in itself serious for the users that, for example, telephone numbers and addresses have been leaked.
However, one must be aware that in the coming time you may be exposed to fraudulent numbers, for example via text message, was his warning.
The information has been posted on a forum for hackers.
Version2 has since investigated which Danes are affected. At the same time, the online media has created a database that you can search yourself to see if your name is mentioned in the leak.
In the database you can find both Liberal Party chairman Jakob Ellemann-Jensen and Nye Borgerlige’s party leader, Pernille Vermund.
There is also a result for Minister of Taxation Morten Bødskov (S) and Minister of the Environment Lea Wermelin (S).
At the same time, according to Version2, top officials, employees of the Armed Forces Intelligence Service, directors and IT managers for Danish companies can be found in the leak.
The Danish Data Protection Agency calls the data leak “serious” and is following the case closely.
– Cooperation in the EU is screwed together in such a way that it is our Irish colleagues who are responsible for the European contact to Facebook. And they are in full swing to investigate what has happened, writes the office manager of the Data Inspectorate’s digital unit, Anders Aagaard, to Version2.
