The requirement to wear a mouthpiece in public transport has been extended by four weeks until 13 May.
It writes the Ministry of Transport in a press release.
The claim was due to expire on Thursday, but has now been extended.
This is done, among other things, to be able to prevent infection when more of the community is opened up and more are expected to start using public transport again.
Minister of Transport Benny Engelbrecht (S) calls on the Danes to “stick to the good habits so that the infection does not get caught up while we reopen society and there are more passengers in public transport”.
The requirement came into force on 22 August 2020. Since then, you have had to wear a mask or visor when traveling by train, bus or metro, for example.
The requirement also applies when driving a taxi, sailing by ferry or being at a station.
Along with the requirement for a mouthpiece, two additional restrictions are extended.
Long-distance buses may continue to fill only half of the seats with passengers, just as the ban on consuming alcohol in buses will also be extended for four weeks until 13 May.
In addition to public transport, it is currently mandatory to use a mouthpiece or visor in all public places indoors.
This applies, for example, in shops and supermarkets, cultural and church institutions as well as educational institutions.
