It will now be possible for the spring confirmands and bridal couples to invite more guests to the church.
It writes the church media folkekirken.dk.
On Monday, there was a meeting in a so-called sector partnership for the Danish National Church.
Here it was agreed that the area requirement per person be lowered. Both for the Danish National Church and other denominations.
Since January, the requirement has been a maximum of one person per 7.5 square meters.
It now changes to two square meters when sitting and four square meters when standing up.
Already last week it was clear that the common song is also back in the churches.
In addition, the recommendation for a maximum of 30 minutes duration of the service is dropped.
It emerged from a political agreement that fell into place on Friday night.
It is this reopening agreement that has now been further concretized by the sector partnership.
The distance requirement in the churches is still two meters if you sing.
But if there is no common singing, there should be only one meter between each person.
This means that the guidelines now correspond to those that applied to the churches in the autumn of 2020.
The confirmands can not just rejoice that they can have the whole family in the church on the big day.
They must also meet indoors for confirmation teaching from Wednesday, where also other children and youth activities with participants up to 25 people can be restarted in the churches and in association life.
Only the choirs have to wait, as the relaxation does not apply to activities where singing is the mainstay. Here the assembly ceiling is still ten.
