- Without notifying the county administrative board, Cementa prepared experiments in the quarry at Filehajdar to investigate how the water in the quarry can become drinking water – a very dubious act according to Åke Mauritzon at the county administrative board.
- In February, before the trial started, a line on a diesel-powered generator broke and the company estimates that it leaked 876 liters of diesel but that they cleaned up everything but 13 liters.
- “I take this seriously and we are reviewing our routines,” says Cementa’s site manager Fred Grönwall, who points out, however, that the diesel generator was only run to heat the equipment in the winter cold.
