Wallström at KU: The meeting was a total surprise
  • The meeting at a hotel in Stockholm in 2019 between Angela Gui and businessmen from China came as a complete surprise to the then Minister of Foreign Affairs, Margot Wallström.
  • It emerged when she was questioned this morning by the Riksdag’s Constitution Committee, KU.
  • KU will investigate what Wallström may have known about the meeting which was arranged by the former Chinese ambassador Anna Lindstedt with the hope that it would lead to the release of the Swedish-Chinese publisher Gui Minhai.
