This is because the authorities still lack the necessary data to decide whether the vaccine should be included in the Danish vaccination effort.
That confirms several party leaders.
– The health authorities told us quite thoroughly about it. This is because they have not yet received adequate information about what the side effects may be.
– Denmark is one of the countries in the world that has the very best health data, that can not be said about the United States, says political spokesman Mai Villadsen (EL).
The next cut-off date for a further reopening is May 6th. Therefore, the party leaders must meet and agree on what can open before that date.
Party leader Sofie Carsten Nielsen (R) hopes for an agreement at the beginning of next week.
– I reckon that we can make a decision on Monday and Tuesday when negotiations are to take place, because this must be done before the next reopening phase on 6 May, she says.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is the one that Denmark has ordered the most from and is therefore important for the effort.
– It is clear that it delays the vaccines, and then you have to be a little more careful, says Sofie Carsten Nielsen.
