An 85-year-old man from Vesthimmerland has lost his life after a frontal collision between two cars at Fjordvej 96 near Gedsted in North Jutland.
Three other people involved in the accident have been taken to hospital in Aalborg and Viborg, respectively.
This is stated by the North Jutland Police on Twitter.
The accident happened at 17.39, when two oncoming cars collided head-on on Fjordvej next to number 96 near Gedsted in North Jutland.
Police are investigating the scene and the cars on Saturday night to find out how the accident went.
On Twitter, the police state that the cause of the accident is still not certain, but that a car inspector is on his way to the accident site.
It is clear that there were two people in each car.
The police have so far not stated the age or gender of the three injured. It has also not been possible to find out what their condition is.
This may be because the police have not yet finished identifying the injured and informing their relatives.
Fjordvej is partially blocked off around number 96, while the police work on the site. At 19.25, the North Jutland Police write on Twitter that one of the tracks is passable again. Police expect the road to be open again around 8 p.m.
