At 16.25 on Saturday afternoon, the police fired at a man in the town of Vonsild, which is south of Kolding.
The South East Jutland Police writes in a press release.
The police state in the announcement that the man has been brought to the hospital and that he is out of danger.
The shots were fired in connection with a police action, but it is not stated in the press release whether the man was hit by the police shot.
The episode is being investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Authority (DUP).
Police have not said the man’s age or where he comes from. It is also not stated whether the man was involved in the police action taken by the police.
