This is the second day in a row that the positive percentage has been a minimum of 0.50.
Sunday’s statement showed a positive percentage of 0.53. It was the first time since the end of January that it was above 0.50 percent.
Monday’s survey shows that the number of patients admitted with corona has increased by five to 184.
Of the 184 inmates, 42 are on intensive care, and 21 of them are being helped by a respirator.
Part of the story about the increasing number of inpatients is that fewer patients are often discharged around the weekend. This is because there are fewer staff in the municipalities to receive the citizens.
When the epidemic culminated in Christmas and New Year, it was especially the very elderly who became so ill that they were admitted to the intensive care units.
That picture has changed, as many of the oldest have now been vaccinated, explains chief physician Christian Wamberg, the intensive care unit at Bispebjerg Hospital.
– The typical patient in the intensive care unit with us is a man between 40 and 70 years old with one or two underlying chronic diseases.
– The picture has changed, as we have vaccinated more from the older generation. Then the patients with us will be fewer, but unfortunately also younger, he says.
The average time for admission to the intensive care unit is about 12 to 14 days.
According to the chief physician, corona patients make up about a third of the ward’s patients.
In the last 24 hours, no new deaths have been registered in corona infections. That is, there are still 2,490 corona-related deaths in this country.
In addition to the PCR tests, 258,642 lightning tests have also been performed in the last 24 hours. However, the positive cases from this are not included in the infection rate.
This is because there is greater uncertainty associated with the responses from lightning tests. The authorities therefore encourage you to have a PCR test taken if you have tested positive with a lightning test.
In the vaccination program, there are now 1,367,495 citizens who have received at least one injection of corona vaccine. That is, they have begun vaccination. The proportion corresponds to 23.4 percent of the population.
669,970 citizens have received both plugs and have been vaccinated. That equates to 11.5 percent of the population.
