Kollerup continued to emphasize that the government would work to ensure that the screening process did not compromise Denmark’s attractive investment climate.
Screening foreign investment is already a focus in the EU and beyond with similar initiatives established in countries such as Germany, France, the United States, Canada, Norway, Finland and China.
The new law enters into force on 1 July, but does not affect investments made before 1 September.
