- In Britain, the vote count is in full swing after the local and regional elections yesterday and according to the BBC, there will be no separate majority for the ruling party SNP, Scottish National Party, but the party must rely on the Greens’ votes to get a majority in parliament for independence.
- The SNP lost the constituency that they tried hardest to win from the Tory party in this election, Aberdeenshire West, but the Tories managed to win it again.
- According to most observers, it will make it easier for Boris Johnson, the British Prime Minister who decides on the issue, not to approve a new referendum, but the SNP government will probably still try in a few years.
