- Due to reindeer husbandry, having preschool places in two different municipalities is not possible in Vindeln, despite the fact that it is a Sami administrative municipality.
- Sophia Rehnfjäll has been told that she must cancel her preschool place for her daughter in Vindeln if she is to have a preschool place in Ammarnäs, in Sorsele municipality, for a month this summer.
- “Elsewhere in Sápmi, there is an understanding of reindeer herding, that we are a nomadic people,” says Sophia Rehnfjäll.
- “We are investigating the matter to find a solution,” says Lars Johansson, who is head of administration for children and education in Vindeln municipality.
