The reason is a low pressure in the Irish Sea, which most of the weekend sends fronts in over Denmark.
– Here from the morning it is already raining locally in most of the country. And it will unfortunately be a slightly disappointing weekend with rain and showers a large part of the time, says Trine Pedersen.
She says that the temperature on Friday will be between 10 and 13 degrees. In the eastern part of the country in particular, it may sneak up around 15 if the sun is allowed to shine through the clouds during the day.
– This low pressure is not busy. So we will also enjoy it all Saturday, says the meteorologist.
Translated into concrete weather patterns, it means another day of clouds, showers and fairly unchanged temperatures in most places.
On Sunday, the low pressure moves closer to the Skagerak, which means that especially the northern part of the country can expect clouds and wet weather.
– The southern half may be able to sense a little dry weather and sun, while the temperature will again be around around these 10 to 15 degrees, says Trine Pedersen about the weather Pentecost.
On the night of the second day of Pentecost, the low pressure from the Irish Sea finally releases its grip on Denmark. But it will already be replaced by the next front system on Monday morning.
– It comes in from the west, so if you are going to a holiday home on the West Coast, it will probably already rain in the morning, while again it is the eastern regions that have the best chances of seeing the sun.
The night temperatures during the Pentecost holiday will be around five to ten degrees, while the wind most days will be light to fresh from the southwest.
