On the morning of September 3, 1992, three Swedish engineers inspected mobile telephony stations in Kuwait. They run out of time to get back to a meeting in Kuwait city and decide to ask about the way in a nearby UN post. What they do not know is that the posting is on Iraqi soil. They are taken by the Iraqi military and taken away.
A few weeks later, they are sentenced to seven years in prison and put in the infamous Abu Ghraib prison.
In Sweden, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the government are working to understand how to get the Swedes free. The dictator Saddam Hussein, who has previously taken Westerners hostage, seems to want medicine supplies. But despite valuable deliveries, they will not be free. Saddam Hussein has additional demands.
