It writes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its travel guide, which has been updated on Friday afternoon.
For the past many years, Germany and Italy have been in the top five of the destinations that Danes travel to the most – often as number two and three, but always surpassed by Spain.
Travel to Austria, Slovakia and Rwanda is no longer discouraged either.
In the travel guide, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not only take into account the infection rates in a country in question. It also looks at travel restrictions for Danes who want to travel to the country.
When a country is yellow, there will basically be no quarantine requirements upon entry.
This is stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but emphasizes that the rules of the individual countries in connection with travel must still be kept up to date, as the restrictions may change at short notice.
An example of this is Finland. The country has low infection rates, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to discourage all travel to the country due to strict entry restrictions.
The travel guide is also changing for certain regions in European countries. These are the Peloponnese in Greece, Jadranska Hrvatska in Croatia and ZUG and Ticino in Switzerland.
Also Ceuta, a small Spanish enclave in the North African country of Morocco. Located just opposite Spain, also changes from orange to yellow.
The change in the travel guide also means that travelers from the countries and regions in question can now travel to Denmark without having to be quarantined.
