It must help to ensure prosperity in Denmark when “fewer have to pay for more”:
– We have too many who are on the edge of the labor market. Maybe because their competencies have not kept up, or because there is not enough flexibility for people to keep going, even though they have come up a bit over the years and still have the desire and ability to contribute.
– We have too many young people who do not take an education – and we have some who, on the other hand, have difficulty finding a job where they can use their education.
– We will be short of skilled professionals. And we already lack both Danish and international labor to seize the recovery that is already taking place after the reopening of society, says Jakob Ellemann-Jensen in his speech on Constitution Day.
Thus, both the Prime Minister and the Liberal Party’s chairman are in the process of warming up for reforms that will get more people through the education system and into the labor market.
In her speech at the closing debate in the Folketing this week, Mette Frederiksen stated that the government will present a reform program with a ten-year aim over the summer.
