Last night it was late, so it was fitting that MPs allowed bars and restaurants to stay open until midnight from this Friday, the opening day of the Euro 2020 tournament, which continues until 11 July.
Not only that, but the capacity for Parken games has been raised to 25,000, which means that significantly more ticket holders will be able to realize their dream of seeing Denmark play in a big tournament at home.
These were just two of several significant announcements at 4 a.m. this morning, which included plans to begin phasing out face masks and coronapas along with the clear signal for the complete reopening of educational institutions from 14 June.
The plans had the support of all parties that carried New Civil.
No more face marks
From 1 September, it is no longer necessary to wear a face mask on public transport.
But long before that, they are no longer needed at most public gathering places from Monday.
So from next week it will e.g. Be possible to visit the supermarket without one.
No more corona passes
Corona passes must be completed before 1 October.
From Monday, they are not required to enter libraries and association activities.
From 1 August it is not necessary to visit cinemas, theaters and indoor sports activities, and from 1 September: restaurants, bars, face to face hairdressing and fitness centers.
Meanwhile, the validity of a PCR test from July 1 lasts for four days and not three.
No more early nights
From Friday, bars and restaurants will be able to stay open until midnight and from 15 July until 02.00.
In both cases, the sale of alcohol stops one hour before closing time.
The same measures apply to kiosks and other stores that sell alcohol.
Increased capacity for the Park
The park will be able to welcome 25,000 people to each of its four Euro 2020 games.
Originally, only 15,900 could fight, so thatโs a significant increase.
Nightclubs can reopen!
And it may not be long before discos and nightclubs, closed since March 2020, can reopen.
From September 1, they can reopen, provided a corona passport is displayed.
But after a month, this restriction will be lifted. And there will be no recommended closing time.
