The crime, according to the indictment, also involved a violation of the so-called racism clause in the penal code, as Jews were mocked and degraded because of their faith.
It was in April that red paint, which was supposed to represent blood, was painted on the masonry into the cemetery. In addition, dolls smeared in red were left both inside and outside the cemetery.
Leaflets from the right-wing extremist movement Nordfront were placed on the spot.
The action was mentioned on the movement’s website, and here, according to the prosecution, it was propaganda in violation of section 266 of the Penal Code, which prohibits threats and insults against a group, for example, because of its faith or ethnicity.
