Four police directors have been appointed on Thursday.
In two cases, there are reappointments, while two police directors are new to the post, the National Police writes in a press release.
One of the new police directors is Jørgen Bergen Skov. He is currently chief police inspector at the Copenhagen Police, but will take up the position as police director of the Central and West Zealand Police on 1 August.
Jørgen Bergen Skov has often appeared in the media in connection with major criminal cases in Copenhagen and during press conferences about the closure of the capital during the first wave of the corona outbreak.
– I look forward to the new role in the Danish police and look forward to the cooperation with the police district’s leaders, staff organizations, employees and partners, says Jørgen Bergen Skov in the announcement.
Frits Villy Kjeldsen, who is currently Chief of Staff of the East Jutland Police, will also get a new job and move the police district.
From 1 August, he will be the police director of the South and Southern Jutland Police.
In addition, Lene Frank is reappointed as police director in the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police. And Helle Kyndesen is reappointed as police director in the Central and West Jutland Police.
A police director is the chief of each police district.
