-There is so much that is strange in Roman history. There is so much that is missing.
Where are all the historical facts about the Roma people, 15 million people without their own country, their own government, their own politicians and institutions? Where are our stories, our novels, movies? Where is our research?
These questions arise Agnes Lakatos, reporter on Radio Romano, in the program, where she interviews older Roma in Sweden who survived the Holocaust as children and grew up in the shadow of the Holocaust.
She meets representatives of Roma in Malmö and a young woman who calls herself a Roma activist and interviews several historians.
We also hear about the Roma struggle to be a part of Sweden’s work against racism and xenophobia and we get to know why Sweden uses the term “Holocaust” only about the genocide of Jews, not about the genocide of Roma.
