A 24-year-old female motorist is in critical condition after she drove wrong on Wednesday afternoon at Terslev Skolevej near Haslev.
This is stated by the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police on Twitter.
The woman drove into a tree for unknown reasons, and was so badly injured that she was flown by helicopter to Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.
The accident was reported at 12.01. According to TV 2 Øst, Terslev Skolevej was closed to traffic for two hours.
– We do not know anything about the cause of the accident yet, but we will hopefully become wiser when we have talked to witnesses and the woman herself, said duty officer Michael Skræddergaard from South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police on Wednesday afternoon to TV 2 East.
