All children from the Álftaborg kindergarten in Safamýri in Reykjavík were sent to quarantine yesterday after one of the kindergarten staff was diagnosed with an infection. A total of 88 children attend this kindergarten.
We can read in an e-mail from the head of the kindergarten to the parents that after working with the contact tracking team, it turned out that all children in the kindergarten were at risk of infection.
“We got acquainted with the situation and in light of the circumstances, all children and employees were quarantined” – we read in the announcement of the headmaster of the kindergarten.
All children will be sampled on Tuesday.
