A seven-year-old girl riding a bicycle was hit by a car in Reykjavík yesterday evening. The driver ran away from the scene. The girl was taken by an ambulance to the emergency department. He probably has a broken arm.
The driver was found, he is 85 years old, in good health but does not have a valid driving license.
Another road accident happened in Mosfellsbær. Two motorcycles collided there. The drivers fell off the motorbikes, which then hit a stationary car. Both motorcyclists found themselves in the emergency room.
Last night, several drunk drivers were also arrested, and the police record reported three people arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
