On Wednesday evening, a lucky Dane won DKK 158 million in Viking Lotto. This is stated by Danske Spil in a press release.
The winner had bought ten rows of lightning games at a negotiation in Hjørring Municipality.
– It is fantastic that we now again have a Danish millionaire in Viking Lotto, says Pernille Mehl, director of Danske Lotteri Spil.
– With such a gain, you can really put a smile on everyday life, it sounds.
Vikinglotto is about guessing 6 real main numbers out of 48 and a real Viking number out of eight.
The numbers are drawn every Wednesday. It started in 1993 and is a joint game for Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
The first prize pool is always at least 19 million kroner and has been at its maximum since 7 June, until a lucky Dane won.
Last year, a lucky player from Elsinore won almost 207 million kroner.
It was the biggest Danish win in the game ever. Wednesday’s win is the second biggest a Dane has won.
Danske Spil has not yet spoken to the lucky winner.
