In recent days, it has created debate that a primary school – Firehøjeskolen in Vejle Municipality – had banned so-called croptops among the oldest girls.
Now the ban is being lifted. That is what a unanimous school board decided on Friday at a meeting. This is stated by Vejle Municipality in a press release.
Acting Chairman of the Board Mads Thomsen emphasizes in the announcement that the Board has full confidence in the staff and the management’s competencies.
However, he points out that it is not the management that sets the rules of order for the school. It is, on the other hand, the school board.
– This has not been the case in this particular case, and it is, of course, regrettable.
– The school board has now discussed the matter, and we agree that there should be no rules for how students should dress during school hours, he says in the announcement.
Croptops are short blouses where you can see a piece of bare belly skin.
