A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was hit by a bicycle by a car on the night between Saturday and Sunday.
This is stated by the North Zealand Police.
The boy was hit at the intersection between Tuborgvej and Lyngbyvej in Hellerup, when he, according to the police, cycled at a red light.
The intersection was cordoned off while police technical investigations were underway.
Traffic has reopened around 02.30.
The motorist involved in the traffic accident – a 68-year-old man – has not been injured.
Police do not immediately suspect that the man has violated traffic rules in connection with the accident.
– There is nothing to indicate that he has been under the influence of alcohol or anything, says head of security Rolf Hoffmann.
The relatives of the boy have been notified.
