The nurses had actually said no thank you. But now it still ends up that a mediation sketch from the Conciliator becomes reality.
On Wednesday night, it emerged that the government will end the conflict, which has plagued health care for ten weeks, by elevating the sketch to a law.
The parties ended up in the Conciliation Institution, which was to mediate between the parties after they failed to land a new agreement.
It seems that the majority in the Folketing supports the intervention. Already on Friday, the law is expected to be passed, so the conflict may end on Saturday.
Here is the content of the sketch, which is now becoming a reality:
* 5.02 percent more in salary over the next three years.
The sketch does not contain a section specifically on salary increases for nurses.
Instead, reference is made to the collective agreement in the regional and municipal area for public employees from February.
Here, the parties agreed on a wage increase of 5.02 percent over the next three years, which the nurses can now also look forward to.
* Committee to look at the wage structure in the public sector.
The nurses are dissatisfied with the fact that they believe that there is a pay gap for the professional group. In their view, this is due to the 1969 civil service reform.
The reform placed 40 professional groups at different salary levels, where special subjects with many women as nurses were at the lower salary levels.
The reform in the mediation sketch is not done away with, but a committee is set up to look at the wage structure in the public sector.
* Introductory course for newly qualified nurses.
A joint working group will be set up to ensure an introductory course for newly qualified nurses when hiring in the regions.
The work is expected to be completed by 1 July 2022.
