In total, 128,892 Icelanders downloaded a so-called travel voucher. 85,079 of these have been partially used and 70,778 have been fully used. According to estimates by the tourism industry, the vouchers redeemed correspond to a total of CZK 411 million.
The vast majority of this amount was spent in the capital region, i.e. $ 164 million. 87 million was spent on companies outside of it and 55 million in the Northeast.
157 million crowns were spent in dining establishments, 93 million for recreation, 66 million for transport and 65 million for accommodation.
The company with the highest revenue from the travel voucher is N1, where Icelanders spent 31 million. Sky Lagoon received 25 million, Olís gas station chain 20 million, Icelandair 15 million, Flyover Iceland 13 million, Pizza-Pizza restaurant chain 10 million and Vök Baths 10 million.
Ferðagjöf 2021 expires on September 30 this year.
