V-chairman hopes for consequences for Bramsen after Ærø trip

Liberal Party chairman Jakob Ellemann-Jensen hopes that Minister of Defense Trine Bramsen’s (S) trip to Ærø in the Armed Forces’ boat will have consequences.

He says this to BT, who has been able to tell that she was sailed to the island by one of the Navy Home Guard vessels in mid-August.

According to a professor, the use of the vessel was illegal for the trip, where she visited the island’s mayor – party colleague Ole Wej Petersen.

– I hope that the support parties will draw some consequences from it. I am at least ready, says Jakob Ellemann-Jensen to BT

The trip to Ærø has aroused criticism when it happened, at the same time as Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, was taken over by the Taliban.

TV 2 has been able to tell that Bramsen arrived in Ærø at the same time as the news of Kabul’s fall reached the Danish media.

Despite the news, however, the minister stayed on Ærø and completed his visit.
