Martin Henriksen seems to ignore the DF chairman’s reprimand

The announcement comes after Martin Henriksen was put in place a few days ago by Kristian Thulesen Dahl and the rest of the DF management. This happened after Martin Henriksen had openly criticized the party’s line on foreign policy.

Among other things, Kristian Thulesen Dahl said that “a few must learn to keep things internal”.

In the closed Facebook group “DF’s circle of friends” Martin Henriksen subsequently wrote a post, which has later been deleted:

– I have been asked by several whether I – after the recent massive opposition to my person and my attitudes – intend to resign from the Danish People’s Party.

The notice was posted online on Saturday at 15.53, writes Jyllands-Posten.

In the post, the former foreign affairs rapporteur states that he stays in the party and fights.

– I intend to fight the battle, even though it is quite obvious uphill, writes Martin Henriksen.

The Facebook group in question has about 2,200 members.

In a text message, party chairman Kristian Thulesen Dahl writes to Jyllands-Posten about the post:

– As I understand it, it was just intended as a purely internal posting. And then it follows my call. I also understood that it has been taken away again, as the belief that it could actually be kept internal was probably not there.

In just 12 days, the delegates in the Danish People’s Party must relate to Martin Henriksen’s line in foreign policy.

It happens at the party’s annual meeting in Herning, where Martin Henriksen’s seat on the main board is up for election.
