– It’s a really bad idea to cut the graduation rate. It will make far fewer people support our unemployment benefit system, and I do not think that we actually increase employment, says SF chairman Pia Olsen Dyhr in a written comment.
Today, as a recent graduate, you can receive DKK 13,815 in unemployment benefits per month.
If you have children or are over 30 years old, you are entitled to DKK 15,844, and the government will not interfere.
The unity list is vertical against cuts in unemployment benefits, says political spokesman Mai Villadsen.
– It is for me to see completely foolish of the Social Democrats to come up with a proposal that will make the new graduates much poorer and undermine security in the labor market, which is a foundation for our welfare society, Villadsen says in a written comment.
– Unemployment benefits have already deteriorated and eroded over the years. There is a need for investment and more security – not the government’s attack on the new graduates. We are going to fight to get that element out of this reform, she says.
