MTV VMAs 2021 gives more stars to the performance lineup

Washington [US]September 8 (ANI): The upcoming MTV Video Music Awards will be packed with performances! According to People magazine, MTV on Tuesday announced several additions to the VMAs lineup: The Kid LAROI, Jack Harlow, Ozuna and Tainy.

Harlow will be on stage with Lil Nas X for ‘Industry Baby’, while Tainy will be with Shawn Mendes for their collaboration ‘Summer of Love’.

Kid LAROI – who wins this year’s best new artist and PUSH performance – will perform his track ‘Stay’. Meanwhile, Latin superstar Ozuna will perform “La Funka”, two years after hitting the stage for the first time with Rosalia.

Ozuna wrote the news for his Instagram and wrote in Spanish that “this Sunday will be special” when he teased a collaboration on stage.

“Who’s coming with me ???” he wrote. “What does La Funka mean ?????” The new artist announcement comes several days after MTV announced that rising stars Kim Petras, Swedish House Mafia and Polo G will appear on the pre-show hosted by Tinashe.

Petras will be on stage with his track ‘Future Starts Now’, Swedish House Mafia will perform ‘Lifetime’ and ‘It Gets Better’, while Polo G will play ‘Rapstar’. The new set of artists will feature Doja Cat, Chloe (by Chloe x Halle), Twenty One Pilots, Olivia Rodrigo, Machine Gun Kelly and Camila Cabello as previously announced.

Rodrigo will perform ‘Good 4 U’, Kelly will take the stage with ‘Papercuts’ and Cabello will play ‘Don’t Go Yet’.

Chloe will perform her first single as soloist ‘Have Mercy’, while Twenty One Pilots will be on stage with ‘Saturday’.

At the same time, Foo Fighters, who will also be presented as an artist, will be honored with the first American Global Icon award ever. Lorde was initially set on performing but withdrew due to a “change in production elements.” The MTV VMAs, hosted by Doja Cat, will be broadcast live from New York on September 12 (ANI)
