The Danish rock band The Minds of 99 plays on Saturday night in a sold-out Parken in Copenhagen, and in that connection the audience can get a vaccine against covid-19.
This is stated by the Ministry of Culture in a press release.
The initiative is part of an effort in connection with cultural life to get more citizens vaccinated.
In connection with the concert with The Minds of 99, guests can be vaccinated from 5 pm to 8 pm in Copenhagen Medical’s tent in Fælledparken.
And next week, guests at the music festival Spot Festival in Aarhus will thus be offered vaccination against covid-19 at a temporary vaccination site.
Minister of Culture Ane Halsboe-Jørgensen (S) states that more young people under the age of 30 will be reached with the effort.
– The more people who have been vaccinated, the safer it will be for everyone to participate in more cultural events. We must have even more momentum in cultural life, which has been hit hard during the epidemic, and therefore I am both really happy and proud that cultural life supports the need for even more people to be vaccinated.
– By making it possible to get a vaccine injection in connection with selected major events, we hope, among other things, to be able to reach more young people under the age of 30, says Ane Halsboe Jørgensen.
Even more events will be covered by the initiative in the near future, the ministry said.
According to Jyllands-Posten, the concert with The Minds of 99 is the first concert of its kind in Europe since the corona pandemic occurred last year.
The park is sold out, and 50,000 will thus show up to hear the Danish band, which among other things is behind songs such as “Young knife”, “Everyone disappoints over time”, “Fast hands” and “Stars in the sky”.
Minister of Health Magnus Heunicke (S) also informs on Twitter that you can get a plug in Fælledparken.
– When 50,000 lucky people tonight have to see The Minds of 99 in the Park in Copenhagen for a sold-out stadium concert (yes!), They can also get their plug.
– The vaccines move out to Fælledparken before the concert, where all non-vaccinated can troop up, he writes.
