– Sara is one of the most talented people I have worked with. She possesses a great deal of professional insight that has been invaluable in the preparation of the political proposals we presented before the election and subsequently in her advice to the government.
– Therefore, it also annoys me that Sara does not return after her maternity leave, Mette Frederiksen writes in the announcement.
Sara Vad Sørensen has followed Mette Frederiksen for eight years. She started as a ministerial secretary for her in the Ministry of Employment and subsequently became a political assistant when power changed in 2015, and Mette Frederiksen became chairman of the Social Democrats.
When Mette Frederiksen won the post of Prime Minister, Sara Vad Sørensen became special adviser in the Prime Minister’s political secretariat.
Sofie Findling Andersen has been employed as a maternity substitute for Sara Vad Sørensen and is now taking over the position. She has previously been a special adviser in the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The political secretariat now consists of Chief of Staff Martin Justesen, Sofie Findling Andersen and special adviser Nana Zarthine Christensen.
