Paris the grand champion

European cities dominated the list with 12 out of the top 20, led by Paris (5.98 luxury places per km²) with its 427 Michelin-starred restaurants, 108 designer stories from the world’s ten greatest luxury designers and 95 hotels with a 5-star rating.

Phuket finished second, followed by Brussels, Geneva and Cannes, while Lyon, Kilkenny, Athens, New Delhi and Dubrovnik rounded out the top 10.

Manila, Chiang Mai, Barcelona, ​​San Francisco, Macau, Osaka, Oban, Bordeaux, Copenhagen and Washington DC completed the top 20 (see table below).
